These five photos of a beautiful perfect red rose were taken by me – and Paul – at my ‘old’ villa in Puente Don Manuel, Alcaucin. The rose was cut from one of the four rose bushes in my garden.
I couldn’t resist posting these two photographs of a Spanish matador “live” in the bullring in Seville. The first photo is the original shown in full colour; the second is the same photo, but in black and white. I needed to change the original to black and white for a project I was working on at the time. (Both photographs are also available for purchase at high quality, high resolution).
A friend of mine sent me these pictures of food that she came across in her forum. There are 16 in total. I think they’re amazingly different, and some are quite funny! A couple are a bit scary.
I shall certainly be viewing my apple in a different light from now on. Enjoy.
This posting shows three photographs showing off the capital of the Costa del Sol in Spain. I’ll be adding to this short series the next time I visit Malaga, which probably won’t be until the autumn. This series was snapped with my HP PhotoSmart M525 6 Megapixels digital camera.
This is a typical white-washed village in Andalucia, Spain; situated on top of a hill outside the on the lower western slope of La Maroma in the Sierra Tejeda mountain range. The Alcazar Nature Reserve and the sulpherous springs of Las Majadas are both found within the municipal area. I was fortunate to live within this municipal….. up until March of this year.
Marbella is one of my favourite spots along the Costa del Sol in Spain: it has a quiet relaxed atmosphere, a lovely promendade along the white sandy beach….. and plenty of designer shops. Marbella is famous for its restaurants, and when I visit Marbella twice a year I always end up on a beach-front chiringuito sampling the freshly-cooked, barbequed sardines.
The following photos were taken two years ago with my Aptek 3 megapixels digital camera. The quality is not perfect. However, if you like them, you can view more photos of Marbella in my Webshots album.
This series of cloud formations was taken with my current digital camera, HP PhotoSmart M525 6.0 megapixels. The photos were all taken from my ‘old’ house on the same day one sunny evening here in Spain. It was fascinating to watch the different colours change and merge, and rush past me.
This is a short series of photos of Velez Malaga, on of the larger towns in this area of Spain. It is typical Spanish, picturesque and – fortunately – not inundated with tourists. There is a popular market held here every Thursday morning (from 9.00am till 1.00pm) where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, household goods, and clothes and shoes. On this occasion, I have not attached descriptions to the photos, but I’m hoping to snap and post some more with descriptive captions.
